I grew up in Texas for about 14 years and always consider it my home, where my parents and most of my family still lives! I was making this series as a perfect way to announce that I was moving to NYC, which was a bit of a sudden news to most people I knew. I also had smaller scraps of copper and German etching paper that I didn’t want to go to waste, so this was a perfect mini project! I assigned the season or period of life as the title for each state when I lived there, each with significance. Half of the moves were put upon me moving with family, and half of these moves were on my account.
