I knew since I was 17 that I was called to NYC to spread the love and power of Jesus to those with hardened hearts, so it was really a miracle and a long-awaited answer to prayer when I moved to Brooklyn by myself at the very end of 2018. I was making this series as a perfect way to announce that I was moving to NYC, which was a bit of a sudden news to most people I knew. I also had smaller scraps of copper and German etching paper that I didn’t want to go to waste, so this was a perfect mini project! I assigned the season or period of life as the title for each state when I lived there, each with significance. Half of the moves were put upon me moving with family, and half of these moves were on my account.
